Studenthood: the downside
Aaaagh, I have an exam tomorrow, and another one the day after. I haven't done any exams since 1997, and no non-humanities exams since 1994, back when many of my classmates hadn't yet started school. C++ is tomorrow afternoon, and Prolog on Tuesday morning. Doing well in them is out of my reach -- my hope is to achieve a respectable pass.

You look to have been working hard; I'm sure you're capable of doing well. Just remember, algorithms beget the data structures beget the code, always check your inputs, chin up and best of luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks! The thing is, they're both only two-hour exams, which is particularly testing for the C++. They gave us 6 past papers to work through, of which I got two done within the two hours, two took me about two and a half hours, and two took long enough that I had a break and went back to it later. So the odds aren't great! Plus we were given one sample solution which is distressingly elegant and the sort of thing you come up with in the middle of the night rather than under exam conditions. Oh well, another excellent chance to improve my character by learning humility!
